Building ALOF from the Ground Up: A Tale of Hard Work and Perseverance
5 friends had one dream. To eliminate poverty amongst children. To
assist the elderly at home and care centers live a dignified life.
Realizing the ‘tall order’, they decided to first establish a
Foundation using their own funds. Next was to identify children's
homes that needed upgrading. They believe children homes should not be
run down, cramped with poor facilities, old fixtures and fittings.
Established in mid 2021, ALOF have visited more than 30 children’s
homes and care centres to carefully identify the needs of each home.
The noble intention was to renovate and ‘upgrade’ the existing houses
and turn them into comfortable homes.
By end 2022 a total of 6 homes were adopted, renovated and upgraded
with facilities:
Rumah kanak-kanak disayangi (Rumah Kids Boys 1 & 2), Selangor.
Sri Eden Autism center (KL & Selangor),

Rumah Kids Girls Home (Klang),
Rumah Kids Toddlers Home (Klang),
Bethesda House (Rawang).
Nursing facilities were provided for :
Sherun elderly & handicap centre (Johor)
And in 2023 two more homes were added onto the adoption list :
Villa Paulous (Johor),
Trinity Community Children’s home (Selangor).
5 friends meet regularly and ensure everything is transparently run.
That their noble efforts would be a legacy they leave behind for
others to continue in making a difference to underprivileged
Malaysians. ... See less

Home Visits Gallery
We are stringent with our selection. We ensure the homes are firstly registered. That these homes have their accounts audited and have a Board which is responsible in ensuring that the funds raised and utilized are used wisely. ALOF steps in after a thorough assessment is done. In between visits are made to help understand the needs and support where we can.
